Scouts from Premier League clubs from Arsenal and Chelsea were among those in attendance casting their eyes over local talent during the Middlesex Schools' FA Under-14 Representative Team trial, which was held in Brent at Capital City Academy. 

Interest in homegrown talent has increased following the emergence of Raheem Sterling and Jamie Vardy, whose successes have given a boost to district and county schools' football. Chair of Brent Schools' FA Chris Ampofo observed “Brent and Middlesex is full of talented footballers. The scouts who attended today all expressed their interest and support for schools' district and county representative football. The see the importance of schools football. It is great to have their support at what is a very exciting time for schools football”.

Following some superb performances, Arsenal have invited Brent Under-11 boys to play in the prestigious Dave Holden Cup at the Arsenal academy next Saturday.
