Brent U11A Boys squad  took part in the South Central regional tournament organised by the Premier League and English Schools FA.  The event was staged at Slough Town FC on their 3G stadium pitch.

Brent won their first two games well, with Dhyan Sharma lashing home for a 1-0 victory over Gosport, whilst Naeem Giscombe finished a smart move and Sharma smashed home the second in a 2-0 win against Reading.

Brent’s football got better and better as they dominated and hit the crossbar against Southampton,  but lost 1-0 to a wonder strike. They then conceded another wonder goal against Newbury when needing a win to top the group. After conceding early, Le’Kai Chevannes struck home a penalty before constant pressure on the Newbury goal which was alas in vain. Brent finished second in their group with only the top team reaching the final.

Brent coach Paul Woodford was proud of his young side: “This was a magnificent performance from all and a great advert for Brent football”.

Team: Joe Barrett, Le’Kai Chevannes, Naeem Giscombe, Troy Kelly, Casper Lindner, Conor Moore, Armend Muslika, Fabian Prela, Deon Selmani, Dhyan Sharma, Tyreece Pollendine, Bernardo Zanuncio and Zak Zebiri.

Brent U11B Boys continued to make progress with a strong performance earning them a 0-0 draw at home to Woking at the Ark Elvin Wembley
