Brent’s Under 13 girls remain unbeaten this season and put on a solid performance to edge the game against a strong Camden team. A brace for top scorer Olivia Henry sealed the win in this very tight game. The pace and determination of Henry was a constant threat to Camden. She blasted home the first goal after a goalmouth scramble. The second goal was a thunderbolt after captain Apolonia Margetson gained possession and played an inch perfect pass which Henry fired low into the net.
Camden came back into the game strongly and the Brent girls as they showed grit, battling to defend a two goal lead through a superb collective effort. Evie Row impressed in midfield as did Ugomma Ekendu-Obi with a few skilfull dribbles. Brent’s back three of Olivia MacArthur, Scarlett Hunn and Kate Fox worked their socks off keeping Camden at bay but couldn’t prevent them pulling a goal back with 15 minutes to go. Camden piled on the pressure looking for an equaliser but Brent goalkeeper Pele Fakahau made a superb save to keep her team in front and the game finished 2-1.
Brent Under-13 Girls next face Tufnell Park in a top of the table clash at Regents Park on 24 April.

The Brent Under-14 Boys squad emerged as winners in an eleven goal thriller away to Camden & Islington. In an action packed match, the boys completed a hat-trick of victories for Brent teams with a 7-4 win at Saint Aloysius in Highgate.
Brent Under-14 Girls face a tough test at home on 17 April against top of the table Broomwood. A win at Capital City academy would see Brent leapfrog their opponents and go to the top of the Capital Girls’ League.
