Brent Schools’ FA U11 Cup Final, at Wykeham Primary School
St Robert Southwell boys won the Brent Cup with a 1-0 victory over 10-time winners Byron Court.
St Rob’s started on the front foot creating numerous chances and were rewarded after 12 minutes with a fine finish from Oliver. The game was still finely balanced by St Rob’s had opportunities to extend their lead before half-time.
The second half was played at a frenetic pace with both teams giving everything and playing the match in a great spirit. However, St Robert Southwell secured the victory to lift the trophy. Their triumph is the school’s second win in the competition, their previous triumph occurring in 2003-04.
