MSFA Bower Cup
Saturday 30th October 2015
Brent returned to winning ways after a convincing 4-0 win against Haringey, with Drilon Krasniqi scoring a hat-trick. Brent started brightly and were on the attack from the kick off but were guilty of poor finishing with Dominic D’Souza, Krasniqi, Shamar Swaby and Ray Lluka all missing early opportunities to put Brent ahead.
The deadlock was finally broken when Krasniqi rose highest from a corner to head the ball home after 12 minutes. Krasniqi scored his second six minutes later when he beat the Haringey defence and ran into the penalty area before calmly shooting the ball home.
The pattern of play remained unchanged and Brent sought to increase their two goal lead with Felix Amoah, Krasniqi, Robert Preda and Swaby all seeing their efforts on goal go wide.
The second half continued in the same vein as the first. Brent laid siege to the the Haringey goal with Preda going close and Krasniqi and Amoah seeing their efforts go wide. Krasniqi got his deserved hat trick, finishing well before Zac Cowen saw his header at the far post cross the line to seal a comfortable 4-0 win.
