Brent’s Under-13 girls put on a magnificent performance against Jolof Sports in the Regent’s Park Youth League.
Brooke Dyke starred on her debut, sprinting into the box and shooting; the keeper made a good save but Meg Ingram reacted quickest, pouncing on the rebound to smash the ball into the net.
Dyke wasn’t to be denied and she scored Brent’s second goal, dribbling past two defenders before shooting the ball into the bottom corner.
Brent’s third goal was a superb team move, which started with the ball passed out from the back. Kate Fox found her twin Maia out on the right wing, Maia slipped the ball to captain Evie Roe. Roe hit an inch-perfect pass to Dyke who fired the ball into the top corner.
Jolof Sports scored a consolation goal late in the game but it was Brent’s day and the win took them to the top of the Regent’s Park Youth League.
