The ever improving Brent U11 Girls produced a superb team performance to lift the inaugural Girls Brent Super Cup, winning the Final against Queens Park Sharks by 5-0.

The match was closer and more competitive that the scoreline suggests and featured a spirited performance from the Sharks.

A brilliant hat-trick from Brent captain Guissepina Carnevale set the game alight in the first half. Sharks then broke on the counter attack and a great strike was saved at point blank range by Brent’s Milly-May Blue in goal.

Brent rang the changes at half time and Tammy Nathanial and Brianna John-Etiko made an instant impact. Nathanial reacted quickest to a loose ball after a goal mouth scramble to make the score 4-0 and Brianna John-Etiko completed the scoring, driving in a thunderbolt after a powerful run from midfield.

Brent’s skipper Guissepina Carnavale received the award for the tournament’s golden boot and Keely Dibley-Dias was awarded player of the match for the Final, after an excellent all round performance.

Brent coach Chris Ampofo remarked:  “This is a reward for all of the hard work the girls have put in not just today but throughout the whole season. The whole squad have contributed including players that weren’t here today.  They are improving all the time. It is great to see and I am very proud of them”.

Brent squad: Guissepina  Carnevale (capt) ,  Keely Dibley – Dias, Elizabeth Ulusele,  Maya Rosenberg, Tammy Nathanial, Tirion Lewis, Brianna John- Etiko, Milly- May Blue, Simone Silva,  Laibha Mir, Apollonia Margetson

Brent’s Under-12 squad reached the Final of the Boys’ Brent Super Cup. Elsewhere, Brent’s Under-11 Boys drew 1-1 away with a strong Hackney team and in a tremendous match the Under-15s were edged out by Chiltern & South Bucks, a late penalty contributing to a 1-0 defeat at Capital City.
