Orpington 0 Brent 3
Lester Finch Trophy Semi-Final, 21st May 2016
Brent's Under-11 Boys booked their place in the Lester Finch Trophy Final with another fantastic performance.
Brent started the 1st half with the wind against them, which gave Orpington an advantage.
Orpington started the game with a good tempo and put the visitors under early pressure, to the point where Brent had to dig deep to keep the scoresheet blank.
Brent started to get control of the game and create openings without really testing the Orpington keeper.
With the half-time score at 0-0, Brent made a change by taking off James Otaruoh and bringing on Jhamar McDonald.
Within 2 minutes of the restart, Jhamar gave the Orpington defence something to worry about with his blistering pace leaving 2 defenders behind and crossing for Daniel Adu-Adjei whose shot was blocked.
Five minutes into the second half Brent took the lead through Joshua Johnson who fired into the bottom corner.
Brent grew in confidence and it was only a matter of time before they scored again. Jhamar was giving the home defence a torrid time and scoring Brent's second goal in the 43rd minute.
Orpington tried to hit Brent on the counter-attack but the defence was on top form with Gradi,Brandon & Renoldo keeping Orpington at bay.
As the game wore on, Schadrac Kweme got the ball on the right and took on two of the Orpington players beating them both and squaring the ball back for Daniel to score Brent's third goal.
Further chances were created by the impressive Schadrac who was a constant thorn Orpington's side.
