Brent’s new Under 11 Girls Blue (above) showed the hearts of Lionesses and matched their opponents for large sections of this hotly contested game, but ultimately finished on the losing side.
Highlights for Brent included a superb team goal. Blues passed from the back and through midfield, finding the outstanding Georgia Margetson who outsprinted the defence to collect the ball before dribbling past a defender and blasting home from close range.
Brent’s player of the match Romy Lawson worked tirelessly in midfield and also impressed with a stint in goal. Despite their superb team performance which featured a number of impressive debuts, MGA just edged the game, scoring a couple of goals in the final minutes of each half to clinch a 4-1 win.

Brent Under-11 Girls displayed great energy during a fantastic performance to clinch a 5-0 win over United Dragons.
Brent’s Under-16 Girls played some excellent football in their first game of the season in the Capital Girls League. The Brent girls passed well and showed great spirit but visitors Broomwood emerged as winners of this tight game, claiming the points with a 3-0 win. Brent coach Dean Sylvester said: ”The girls played very well today. It was a good performance, especially for the first game of the season.”
Elsewhere, Brent’s Under-14 Girls battled bravely but went down 4-0 away at title favourites Vicky Park Rangers.
The new Brent Under-12 boys squad started their Harrow Youth League season in style with an impressive 4-0 win away to Ickenham.
